Save Energy By Using Blackle

Blackle, by Heap Media is a search engine site powered by Google designed to save energy. Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. A given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen. However if you’re using a LCD screen, the colour of the display doesn’t have an effect on power usage as the back light is always on. But if you’re using a CRT or Plasma display, then you’ll definitely be saving the environment using Blackle. Even if it’s not about the power saving, some of you may prefer the dark theme
