This video describes and explains how to Backup Outlook or Windows Mail easily.
Forget about manually copying and pasting your Outlook backups. Using Dmailer Sync, we are going to show you how to backup either Outlook or Windows Mail and make it a simple, automated process.
1. Head to http://www.dmailer.com/dmailer-sync.html and download Dmailer Sync Standard edition.
2. Extract Dmailer Sync to your portable device and execute the application.
3. Follow the setup prompts and chose your profile name and password.
4. When you reach step three, select the email client which you would like to back up. You can fine tune what you would like to backup from the email client by clicking advanced settings. You will have the option of selecting: emails, contacts and calendar. Choose your options accordingly.
5. (Optional) You can select to backup files of your choice, bookmarks from either Firefox or Internet Explorer, and your current wallpaper so that it will appear on the computer that has your Dmailer Sync external device inserted.
6. Click next to initiate the backup process.
7. Once completed, click the open button to open Dmailer Sync.
The backup process is now complete, and to verify the email client was successfully synchronized, along with any other files and bookmarks if you selected them, click the corresponding tab on the left hand menu.
If you need to restore your email client’s settings, simply open Dmailer Sync and choose the restore button at the top.
Please note: Your data is encrypted in AES 128 bit encryption. It is impossible to retrieve your data if your password is lost so please make sure you keep it safe.
Every time you plug in your backup device, Dmailer Sync will automatically backup your selected files and email settings; making backups just got a lot easier.
